U5-U6 - Curriculum
Ambitions Focus
Technical 1. Introduce dribbling with the inside, outside and sole of both feet
2. Dribble out of trouble
3. Dribble past a defender
4. Control the ball when it approaches
5. Shoot the ball into the goal




Tactical Become familiar with the field and directions of play



Physical Run, skip, shuffle, jump, hop and balance



Mental Enjoyment of the game, sharing, fair play, control emotions

Ambitions Focus
Technical Lots of touches on the ball and being able to be confident with the ball at your feet and passing shooting juggling dribbling passing
Tactical 1v1 attacking, understanding positions on the field and how to play each position. 1v1 attacking 1v1 defending positional understanding when to dribble and when to pass
Physical Improving footwork coordination and balance footwork balance coordination being able to hold off a defender
Mental Individual teamwork on and off the ball respect discipline attitude

Technical Passing with confidence passing & moving dribbling with confidence shooting from distance bringing ball out of the air
Tactical Defending as a unit and attacking as a unit, 2v1,2v2,3v2,3v3 possession defending organized attacking with numbers
Physical Quick foot work and balance agility deceleration acceleration
Mental Working together as a team and attacking and defending as one unit discipline work rate attitude
Team Set-Up Focus
Squad 10-13 players



Trainings 2-3 per week technical ball work
passing defending & attacking as a unit adding pace & change of pace to the game smaller numbers (2v1,2v2,3v2,3v3)
